"Cliff's MAYO Box!"

The following is the Third and last writing about
a retreat called “The Walk to Emmaus.”   ...
Luke 24:13-35

What is this thing called "Walk to Emmaus"?

First we talked about the touch of Christ and how it can effect one’s life.

Secondly, we talked about what “The Walk” is and is not.  Now I will talk mostly about the physical nature of “The Walk To Emmaus".

The “Walk” is a 72 hour period of time starting on a Thursday evening and continuing until  late Sunday afternoon.

There will be a daily a celebration of Holy Communion, exciting and meaningful devotional times, singing, praying and worship.  Small group discussions will take place after you hear talks given by laypersons and clergy.  The purpose of these talks is to give one a deeper understanding of their spiritual walk with Christ and a real discovery of how grace can become real in one’s life.  There will be time for recreation, plenty of good food, and the development of new life long friendships.  One will eat, sleep, and live in one building.  This is a time when men attend without their wives and vice versa.  It is a non-denominational event open to married couples and singles.  Expect to be a little apprehensive at the beginning and expect to wish it would not end when it is over.

Most will come away with a new appreciation of Jesus and new understanding of what grace means in your life.
