September is Open House
Month... in the
United Methodist Church? Our denomination and our annual
conference have committed significant resources to advertise that we
are the people with open hearts, open minds, and open doors.
Some of the people you know are no doubt wrestling with issues of
faith. They may be asking questions about what they believe.
You can help them! Here's how:
- Think of someone you
know who needs to experience the love of Christ and the
fellowship of our church. He or she might be a friend, a
neighbor, a relative, or someone at work.
- Pray for them and
pray for their family.
- Contact them by
phone or in person.
- Invite them to
worship with you on Sunday!

...We Will Start a
Children's Church this Fall
Something new will be happening
this fall during the 10:45 AM worship service...
Children's Church! Starting Sunday, September 14th, children
Kindergarten - 4th
grades will be invited to go with Miss Ann and Brian to Room 201 for
their own
worship service.
How will this work?
Children will worship as a family during
the praise singing
and prayer time and then
will leave during the offertory. The
children will once
again return to the sanctuary during the closing hymn.
During their "church time", the children will sing praise songs,
have an offering
and prayer time, listen to a Bible message and say a profession of
faith.
Children may have the choice of attending Children's Church or
staying
in the sanctuary with their parents. Children not yet in
Kindergarten are welcome
to play in the church nursery when they are getting restless during
the
church service.
If you have any questions, contact Ann Myers or the church office at
275-9171.
