East Garden Village  "Bible Club"
"Be BOLD, be strong, for the Lord your God is with you!"

These words, set to music, might greet you as you go down the basement steps at the laundry mat of East Garden Village trailer park on a Thursday afternoon at 4:30 pm.

Each Thursday, Jane Krug, Angie Seyferth, Jane Johnson, Lindsey Torres and Ann Myers work with young people - Kindergarten through 6th grades to share the Good News with them through songs, Bible study, games and crafts.

Our ministry team would LOVE to have more volunteers!  We are so appreciative of Marcia Stapp for being our faithful substitute!  We are sad to say goodbye to Janine Funk, who was a major force in teaching the Word to the Kindergarten - 3rd graders.  SO... if you have an hour to share on Thursday afternoons and feel the tug from God to minister to His little lambs at EGV, call Ann at 275-9171 or email at ann@fumcgc.com .

Miss Ann travels through the trailer park to pick up the children in the church van, while several other children walk to the basement for "Bible Club."  Each "club meeting" begins with singing, followed by snacks, a Bible story, and then three rotation centers that help bring the Bible story to life for the children.  There have been up to 40 children flooding into the basement, this fall, to hear stories about Joseph, found in Genesis, and how Joseph's story can impact their lives today.

You might want to try a one-time experience by PROVIDING SNACKS for 40 children on a Thursday afternoon and then staying to help with the activities.  IT WOULD BE GREAT HELP IF WE COULD HAVE A SUPPLY OF JUICE BOXES, JUICE POUCHES, OR GALLON-SIZED CONTAINERS OF JUICE TO SHARE WITH THE SNACKS.  If this is a ministry opportunity you would like to be involved in, please purchase juice and leave it in the box next to the church office.

It might just happen that your heart will be touched in a mighty way and you will feel the tugging from God to make a difference in these children's lives each week!
