Bible Adventure at East Garden Village

On Thursday afternoons at 4:30 pm, Ann Myers, Brian Faust, Jane Krug and Angie Seyferth lead a Bible Adventure for a group of children living in East Garden village!  Ann picks up a van FULL of children and then they go to the basement of the laundry mat for an hour of Bible stories, singing, crafts and games.  The group began with 10-15 children and now has grown to 25-30 children.  This ministry will continue during the summer, so if you are interested in helping, contact Ann by calling the church at 275-9171 or emailing Ann - ann@fumcgc.com!

Bible Adventure Nutrition Program at East Garden Village

Through the Thursday afternoon Bible Adventure program, God’s love and Word have been shared with these predominantly Spanish speaking children.  Now we plan to enhance this program by offering healthy, nutritious, and non-perishable snacks and food for these children over the week-end.

 Our UMW received a $750.00 grant from the Bishop’s Committee on Children and Families in Poverty to kick off this program on August 28th.  But to continue this program, we will need everyone’s support.

 Volunteers will be needed to help shop and pack the food bags.  Because we are sending out non-perishable items, we have designated the 1st  Thursday of the month as the time to pack the bags for one month.  It will take approximately one hour for this project.
