2022 Mission Trip

We can be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ and providing clean water is one of the ways we can share God’s love with some communities in other parts of the world. First United Methodist Church of Garden City, KS is happy to partner with Nyamakope and Dzvengwe villages in Mutoko, Zimbabwe, Africa, in providing clean water. If you want to be part of a cultural immersion Mission Trip to these two villages in Zimbabwe, Africa please get in touch with us for more details about the trip. Pick up a pamphlet in our Welcome Center or open it here!

We can’t wait to see how God works through our congregation to spread His love and hope to the people of Zimbabwe!

Plans of a mission trip are now underway as we seek to spread God’s love even further in these villages and towns of Zimbabwe.
Keep up to date with us as more info on the mission trip is coming soon!

Continued giving will support the establishment of more boreholes and the mission trip. To learn more about this project visit our Nyamakope Village Water Project page!

Updated Covid-19 Response

Beginning Monday, March 29th, masks will be encouraged, but no longer mandatory.

As staff we have been dedicated to keeping the congregation safe and comfortable. We appreciate everyone’s patience in these uncertain times and pray we can continue to move forward from the Covid-19 pandemic. Although case numbers have been decreasing, we still have many members who are waiting to receive vaccines. Due to this, we are still encouraging masks, social distancing, and washing hands. Please respect one another’s comfort levels and decisions.

Additionally, with the change in our mask requirements we remind everyone that singing does increase the spread of the virus. Please be sure to wear a mask if you are singing along in our services.

Please protect all of those around you by practicing social distancing, wearing masks and washing your hands.
